Home match against Tregolls School

Tuesday 31st October saw Shortlanesend entertain the hot favourites for the title this year,Tregolls School.
Once again, Shortlanesend provided great teamwork, resilience and endeavour but, unfortunately, trailed 4-1 at the break to a very potent attacking team.
The second half saw a much improved display by Shortlanesend, with some lovely attacking moves and stout defending and were unlucky to not pull a goal back-Tregolls saved by the post!
The game finally finished 4-1 to Tregolls but another fantastic effort by the young Shortlanesend team-fantastic teamwork, well done boys!
Next game, away to St Erme tomorrow-come on the SLE!
On Wednesday 1st November, Shortlanesend played away to ST. Erme. It was a very competitive game but St Erme took all their chances and raced into a 3-0 lead in the opening 10 minutes. This made it incredibly difficult for us to get back in the game but we showed some great commitment and attitude in pushing forward. In trying to force our way back into the game we were vulnerable at the back and late on in the second half St Erme scored twice more to make the final score 5-0.
The score, however, does not show the great effort and teamwork put in by the squad so well done Shortlanesend!
