ASPIRE celebration day sports

As part of the school's celebration of the ASPIRE Academies, the children throughout the school took part in a wide range of sporting activities. Year 5 and 6 spent the day at Nine Ashes activity centre where they enjoyed a host of adventurous activities including, zip wire, tunnelling and go karting.
The rest of the school stayed at Shortlanesend and, with the help from some external coaches, the children participated in a range of unusual activities, some of which the children had never done before! These activities included archery, crossbows, streetsurfing, urban polo and dodgeball.
The day, part funded by sports premium money, was an amazing success and the children thoroughly enjoyed themselves whilst learning a wide range of new skills.
